1. Install and Configure SecureQBPlugin

  • Go to SecureQBPlugin.com and download the plugin.
  • Install the plugin on your computer.
  • During setup, you will be prompted to connect SecureQBPlugin to your QuickBooks Online account. Follow the instructions to authenticate and authorize the connection.

2. Prepare Payment Data in QuickBooks Online (QBO)

  • Ensure that the invoices or payment requests are created in QuickBooks Online. These invoices should contain essential information such as:
    • Customer (Payer) information: Name, account number (IBAN for international), etc.
    • Payment amount.
    • Invoice number and due date.
    • Payment terms if applicable.

3. Configure One-Time or Recurring Payments

  • For One-Time Payments: Select a single invoice or payment request for a specific customer.

4. Export the Request for Payment (RfP) File Using SecureQBPlugin

SecureQBPlugin enables you to export the Request for Payment (RfP) file in a format that is compatible with FedNow and RTP, such as ISO 20022 XML, CSV, or JSON.

  • Open SecureQBPlugin from your system.
  • Select the transactions (invoices, payments) that need to be exported.
  • Choose Export Format: Select either ISO 20022 XML (Pain.013), CSV, or JSON, based on the requirements of your bank’s FedNow or RTP system.

Mapping Fields for Export:

  • Ensure that SecureQBPlugin maps fields like:
    • Customer (Payer) information.
    • Payment amounts.
    • Invoice numbers.
    • IBAN (for international payments).
    • Currency and due dates.
    • Recurring schedule (for batch recurring payments).
  • After mapping, export the file to your desired format.
